THE WEST ARM
The West Arm of Kootenay Lake is situated entirely within the Selkirk mountains. It is both narrower and shallower than the main lake and surprisingly has numerous sandy beaches.

We completed three sports courts for the enjoyment of our guests ; a golf chipping / putting green , a badminton / pickle ball court and a basket ball court and added to our orchard and garden area .

THE KOOTENAY WILD FACILITY
A panoramic view of the west arm greets the Kootenay Wild Facility. We are situated between the village of Balfour and the City of Nelson in the Grand View Developments property. We are ideally situated less than a 110 km drive from 6/8 Kootenay Trail golf courses. Other attractions such as Ainsworth Hot Springs, Kokanee Creek Provincial Park, and Kokanee Glacier Park hiking trails, are less than a 30 km drive from our facility.
Nestled between the Selkirk and Percell mountain ranges is Kootenay Lake, the largest natural lake in British Columbia. All of the West Kootenay Lakes have Gerrard Rainbow Trout , Bull Trout , and Kokanee .
The Gerard Rainbow Trout can grow over 30 lbs. Visitors should prepare for spectacular mountain scenery, glacier-fed creeks and rivers, native forests and abundant wildlife.
The Kootenay Region also offers spectacular golfing on award-winning championship golf courses and hidden local gems alike .
